| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
This was a very windy and cloudy day. These seagulls were resting here waiting for better flying conditions. This remembers me a Portuguese expression that fits very well in this photo:
"Seagulls on land, storm at the sea"
"Gaivotas em terra, tempestade no mar"
To have this shot I had to be very slow on aproaching the seaguls because most of them got away when I walked in their direction. I had to make and aproach walking very slowly then on my knees crawled to them. Them I had to stay still for a while to have them more relaxed with my presence. That's why they look so calm.

I like the way the seagulls are surrounded by all that lovely green grass. The colours are excellent.
