Another macro effort - I am enjoying the way the camera reveals details I cannot see with the naked eye, as the bees go after their food. And I'm learning a lot about the difficulty of getting these shots!

Very interesting and engaging photo, Alan. I think it's the side view that gives us a really good look at what it's doing. The dof and colors work well together, too.

Hi Alan, this is a very good macro shot! Excellent details and clarity, good colours and sharpness too. Well done.

Hi Alan, I love macro work but as you said its very difficult. Your enemy is DOF and it's controlled mainly by the F-stop. F5.6 gives you a very limited DOF and if you step down to F8 or smaller you would see even more details. I like the composition and the tongue slurping the nectar.
