You found no birds, but you got this beautiful Black Swallowtail instead, so your day wasn't compltely improductive ! :-) I really love this species, they are one of the most beautiful butterflies (In my opinion). You have captured this one in a lovely composition, with excellent details and vivid colors, and the pose of the butterfly is geat, too, with the wings open so we can fully admire all his beauty. Very well done !

Hello Ron,

Your good dof keeps this butterfly sharp against an oof b/g. I do like the diagonal composition of the butterfly and of the flower stem.
The colour details are good. Perhaps a little lightening would reveal the wing textures more fully.
