[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
There is a small freshwater pond near the saltmarshes where the marsh birds drink and bathe. When the tide is high the water in the marsh is too deep to feed, so many marsh birds come to the pond to drink.
The Roseate Spoonbill feeds by moving it's beak sideways through the water. The beak is very sensitive. and the bird can tell from touch when it's found food. They eat small crustaceans. This one was just landing.

Hallo Robert
This is a very graceful bird with prominent features that fits it well. The colourful and perfectly shaped plumage is striking and a feast to the eye. You have captured it with great focus and sharpness. Photography at its best. The natural surrounding as a backdrop highlights this bird's details even with more visibility and charm. The Roseate Spoonbill indeed has a impressive wingspan. Thanks for sharing this beauty.
Best regards.
Anna

Hi Robert
A good capture of this splendid bird coming in to land. My only criticism is that on my monitor the shot looks rather grainy in parts - particularly under the wings and the background - did you lift the shadows or something similar?
Kind Regards
Vinny

Hello Robert,

Good catch, the bird is beautiful and the colors are beautifully reflected. luminosity and well managed to pass that the light was somewhat hard. " I can see some noise in the background, probably has to do with ISO 400, it can be corrected with some PP. It's nothing that affects the outcome of the photo, which looks very good to me!

Well done, TFS & happt WE

excellent capture, love the pink and the pose, amazing bird giving you a nice eye-contact. looks like there is a little
noise in the back though, almost neglectable, since the whole composition and scene is great. well done & best wishes, thor.
