[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Before I mow our "colorful" lawn (a mixture of some grass, wildflowers/weeds) I always check to remove any downed branches from our trees. While doing that, I sometimes see little scenes that I want to photograph before I put the mower into action.

This is another of the creeping cinquefoil (Potentilla reptans) that I had photographed earlier in the year. I like this one for the overall composition and showing a partial shot of the cinquefoil compound leaf directly above the bloom.

Taken hand-held, auto everything, in the shade on a bright sunny day. Some PP work as per usual.

Hi Larry,

Don't complain about your grass - we have none out here and I think I miss it and the ocean more than most things on the east coast. Oh, and the food too. Both the flower and the leaves are beautiful with lovely colors and details. A fantastic vertical composition.

Hello Larry,
This is one I'm not sure I've ever run across before. The detail of the lovely bloom is great and the exposure is right on the money.
I'll have to keep my eyes open for this little beauty in the future. TFS.
