Hi Howard,
I am so glad that you are back. I hope you will stick around. Several of us have returned but not participating at quite the same level. I just don't have the old energy level, but it is sure nice to check in with old friends.

I love the pose of your dove, the soft BG and that intense, sharp look of the eye.

Hello Howard,
a very nice and unexpected discovery to find you publishing some of your recent works here on this site! Have been looking into your private site just a few days ago to renew the pleasure to see some of your ountstanding, always inspiring in-flight captures. A perfect focus on the eye kept stable under demanding conditions of rapid approach. So good to see your landing with that powerful symbol of peace, my dear friend.
With thanks, and best regards,
Peter

P.S.: Just noticed that you added my latest posting to your favorites. Great honour for me.

Hi Howard,
Flying birds are a challenge I never was able to even tackle, so I simply admire the result.
I'm glad to find marhowie pictures again on TN!
I recognized in your title the allusion to the Beatles song, "Love, love me do"! This is just to say that I must have about your age plus ten!

My best regards
Dietrich

WHat I hate, Howard, is not to get to know that my favourite photographer has uploaded a shot!I do wish we'd get some kind of a mail when someone from our favourites posts a shot.
I'm sure that can be done!
I wonder how you managed to focus on just the head!
As usual, simply awesome!

Hello Howard,
A beautiful in-flight capture of a Dove very nicely framed and against a nice background. Beautiful light and colours and great focus on the eye.
TFS and best wishes, Ulla

Hello Howard,

An excellent action capture, the movement is nicely frozen but the tiny motion blur in the wingtips just adds credibility!
And the expression of the bird is funny, maybe surprised to have his picture taken..?

Greetings,
Pablo -

Hi Howard

Don't I know this dove from some another time? Or maybe it was its cousin.
Anyway, that one also did a "Dove, Dove me do…" especially just for you.

A great shot my friend. The exposure was spot-on allowing for the well balanced
lighting so one can see a lot of the underwing & undertail detail. The catchlight in
the eye is a bonus. The range of the DOF catching all the sharp details was surely
no coincidence, but I am convinced that it was a well calculated predetermination.
The isolated BG also attests to a properly planned and managed scenario. No wonder
you were selected to appear on the "See how to turn your garden into a certified
wildlife habitat" program.

Excellent work and TFS.
Regards
Loot
