I've called this photo "Ugly Lady" because mallard females are so pale compared to the beautiful metallic colors of the males.
I've shot this while sitting with my feet in the water in the Charles River margins while enjoying the view and this lady passed by , I think, just to check me out.
Shot in auto-mode and used Photoshop to turn the dark green water into this bright blue |

Very nice, sharp capture. The crop could be a little tighter i think, but good work.
