[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Ruby-throated Hummingbird(female)
Archilochus colubris

The females of both Black-Chin and Ruby-Throated Hummingbirds are almost identical so this could be either but Galveston Island is not within the reported range of the former. The female Ruby-throated is the most lack-luster of all hummingbirds. A male showed up momentarily about a month ago but haven't seen him since. This is one of two females that are constantly scolding and chasing each other. They should migrate South soon.
