Tricolored Heron aka Louisiana Heron
Egretta tricolor
I originally thought this to be a Great Blue Heron but the lack of a vertical black stripe around the eye and black head plume have led me to believe otherwise...

Hi Jim,
A beautiful in-flight shot of this Heron. I love the pov giving us such a good view of his legs. Wonderful wing positions and a lovely profile. The colors and details of the face, eye and wings are excellent. He seems to have just taken off and isn't much above the tall grasses.

I think you are right. I saw a tri coloured heron once... And it looks just like that.. i.e. flying away from me - no decent shot :)
This is a good catch
