Found these two guys apparently drinking water out of my mother's rose the other day. The one in the back kindly hung around for me to photograph a couple more times, but the one in front soon made his/her way down the stem away from me... for more info kadydids check out my last post, here.
Used the macro setting, no flash. |

Hi Laurita!
I loved this pair of kadydids. You got a very good DOF and a very different kind of macro...the two are very sharp. The composition is too good, and what I liked most is the nice luminosity among the guys and the rose. We can se every part of the bugs..Well done.

Excelente captura...!!! Muito boa macro, cores, nitidez e composição.
Mesmo com f/2,8 você conseguiu uma boa profundidade!

Great capture! You have focussed very well on both of them which is unusual on such a close macro photo. I like the foot on the other one's back, as if to say, "get down, I'm the star"! Great lighting and great colours also. Well done.
Hi Laurita, what a lovely shot of these two katydids. The BG is a bit distracting so if you had the option (I'm not sure if you did or not) then maybe go for a less cluttered one. Having said that the insects are beautifully sharp and detailed. Your composition and POV are great and the colour rendering is lovely. Well done :)
