[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is a follow-up photo to my last post about the sea oats. It is prohibited to walk on the dunes in many protected coastal areas, however, you can see here that people disregard the fragility of the dune structure and walk across them. This is devastating to the structure of the dunes which ultimately prevent beach erosion and damage to homes on the beach. The dunes provide a wildlife habitat that supports dozens of birds and small rodents.

OK, I'll get off my soapbox now!

This's like snow Alli,

Nice composition.Good details TFS

Alli, very interesting landscape. Colorful photo, good sharpness and details. Well done.

Hi Alli,
Its a shame that people love things so much, but they do not take care of it. To many people, and to much over building in the costal areas. Just wish I could be one of them. I love the beach!

Hi Alli, to be honest at first I thought it was snow! Interesting shot. Nice composition and details, very good work.

What a beautiful texture of the very fine grain sand! Wonderful light, colours and composition to show it off to. Excellent!

Another great shot Alli,
Have a great week, thanks for posting.

The photo definitely shows off the beauty of the dunes, and your note confronts a real problem. Maybe if more of us were on our "soapboxes" someone would listen eventually? But I doubt it. Recently after hiking for two hours up a mountain trail, Malia spotted plastic water bottles someone had thrown over the side of the trail, laying in plain view for all to enjoy. I usually carry a garbage bag to pick up such items and put them in their proper place, but these would have risked my life to retrieve from the cliff.

I wish people who don't respect the beauty of the earth would stay out of such places! Ok, I'll get off "MY" soapbox now.

I LOVE your photo, the sand looks so white, the greens so crisp, well done. Thanks for sharing the photo, and the "BOX"!!!

Hi Alli! Great shot and note..Good light, color and DOF. Hey, you can get on that soapbox anytime..What's TN for? ;-) Well done.
