I received yuor e-mail.
As TAZ said, your photo shows very old speciemns of "puffballs".
The so-called "puffballs" belong to the Gasteromycetes group, that is all specie which have internal hymenium; this is the reason why they open a orifice on the superior part to spread spores through the wind.
In particular, your specimens belong to the Lycoperdaceae family and Lycoperdon genus.
It isn't easy to identify this kind of fungi through old specimens and only through photo, but I think (I'm almost sure) that this is Lycoperdon perlatum Persoon 1796, published by Christiaan Hendrik Persoon on "Observations mycologique (Lipsiae)" 1: 145.
I hope these informations are sufficient, otherwise tell me what you need.

A nice crop of old puffballs even in age they are most likely still releasing spores. I like this POV better as it shows both the habitat and shape of the fungi

They are not fresh but old Puffballs ;-)
