Nycticorax nicticorax - The night heron.

If anyone wouldve seen how my clothing looked like and how I smelled after taking this picture in the murky swamp laying flat on mud I would probably take a Pulitzer for "dedication and sacrifice" for art sake. The cool beamy green background is a bushy ground palm tree as this bird is very elusive.
Thank God for telephoto and Gore-Tex !

Nice portrait shot Radu, great sharpness and DOF, well captured too. Thanks for sharing.

At first glance it seems a pity that the heron was standing in the shade, because the photo seems to be a bit dark.....

But then I notice all the nice details you still managed to capture, especially those lively bright red eyes. Your hard work and patience definitely paid off, so a big smiley for that!

Unfortunatelly I can't give you a Pulitzer, but have a big smiley from me :)
The photo has perfect framing and POV, maybe it's only a bit too dark.
I like it very much.
VERY WELL DONE & TFS
