[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I'll keep it in the West. Eastern Arizona is mostly the land of tribes. The second large Native-american nation after Navajo to live here are Apaches. Descendants of the legendary Geronimo, the last chief to stand against white man's expansion and exploitation. The inhabitants of San Carlos Apache Indian Reservation are among those who keep the ancient crafts and ceremonials of their ancestors.They are working traditional basketry, pottery and peridot jewlery. Traditional ceremonies are around the year, some open to the public, other more private, only with tribe members. They have special places for their ceremonials, like some tops of the mountains. Such a sacred mountain, as I know, is Mount Triplet, presented in this photo, where no strangers are permitted to climb.

Great shape of this mountai, it really looks great in this warm light. Blue, saturated sky made good composition with bushes on FG.

Another one of those lovley "chocolate box" photos. I like the bush in the foreground, definately adds to the mood of the picture.
