Cold River

This is one of my most favorite places in Texas, Gruene. This is the Guadalupe River. The trees have knotted roots from the constantly flowing water. Cypress trees are the predominent tree here. I used a flash with this shot, to make the water more clear, to reduce reflection.

Hello Linda,
I like your POV here and the way you include quite a lot of the roots in front... Colours and details are good, in a pleasant composition...
Regards,
Pablo -
Excellent shot of the Guadalupe River, this is home to one of my favorite chelonians the Cagle Map Turtle, if not there the San Antonio & possibly San Marcus Rivers if they haven't been extirpated from these last 2 geographic locations yet. This is fantastic, I love the old weathered twisted tree roots on the edge of the river. I would be amazed if you could photograph some cagle's. :)

Hi Linda
exellent photo !
I liked as the others the composition you got or achieve with the roots ande the water of the river.
The DOF is stunning, and the sharpness fantastic.
The balance of colours are impressive.
