A Great Egret, doing what it does best - fishing. I may be imagining it but I think there are real quality differences discernible between my D70S and the D200 when using the same lens.

bonjour thomas
je pense qu'il est possible de faire mieux avec un tel appareil ,rien qu'en faisant une pose un peu plus longue la photo aurait été plus lumineuse et l'effet de l'eau aurait été plus sympa,je pense.

Very nice composition, Thomas. Sharp details on the egret. You did a great job on the whites. Well done and TFS. : )
Hello Thomas , TFS this image intresting to read your comment about the quality difference between the 2 cameras , I am still awaiting the arrival of my D200 so intrested in any information about its use and setting up as I am converting from compact digital to SLR.
Ilike the composition of the image a nice clasic bird by the moving water image, on my screen the follage in the centre of the screen looks sharper in focus than the bird and the rock it is standing on? just wonder if the camera selected the centre of the image rather than the bird as the focus point?
