[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The spectacular and scenic area found at the Arizona - Utah border is under management of Navajo Nation.
Monument Valley is a high and arid plateau, filled up with huge rock formations, canyons, buttes, mesas, the result of thousands years of wind and water erosion over the orange-red sandstone. This is the first ever declared Navajo Tribal Park.
The place is known also for its role in cinematography: producers and directors used the magnific landscape for their the great classical westerns as early as 1938. Probably John Wayne knew this place like his home.

Lovely shot Petru!
I'm not a big fan of such a bit desert like places, but no doubt it looks exceptional and beautiful. Very good landscape picture, as usuall.

Hi Petru,
This place is on my list to visit soon. Been there in my youth before I was into photography. This beauty inspires me to get there sooner. Beautiful composition! The colors are perfect. Sharp detail, great DOF, and amazing clarity!
Only thing missing is some cowboys and indians riding by.
