[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Another one comming from the arid plateau of the southwest.
These formations arecalled buttes and they are scattered on the high plateau around the Four Corners Point (for anyone who doesn't know, Four Corners is a geographic point, the only one common to four states in USA: Utah, Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona).
In this picture is very visible the action of erosion on different rock layers.
For more info about this place, you may take a look at the note I wrote for another post here

Looks like young brother of Ayers Rock :-) Monumental. I like composition with all rock well visible and blue sky. Good job!

Wow Petru!
Great landscape! It would be hard for the sky to be more perfect in this one: nice blue with just the right spattering of white cumulus clouds. And then, the majestic butte!
Simply awesome!
Thanks,
Dave

Bonanza, huh ? :) Yes, me too, I love the gigantesque monumental geological formations of the American Southwest from South Dakota to Mexico from California to Texas, they are one amazing part of the world but New Mexico and Arizona is the mother of all southwest. La Multi ani si toate cele bune.
