Beautiful pose and picture of this Goldfinch Howard!
Do you accomplish all of your BG blur through DOF or do you use PP sometimes?
However you do it, it is very nice!
Thanks,
Dave

Looks to me like a perfect everything sort of photo Howard.

The pose of this wonderful goldfinch is especially captivating.

I wish I could figure out how to use a tripod in these millisecond opportunities that can happen everywhere else, except the place that you have set up for....any tips?

You seem to have it down very well ;-)

An excellent composition, thank you for sharing it!

HI Howard, interesting pose this one, right in the camera, well done TFS Reina

Hi Howard,
Excellent shot of the Gold Finch. They still look beautiful in their winter/non-breeding plumage. The exposure is excellent. Colors are perfect. Detail is very sharp, and your DOF control created an awesome OOF backround that makes him really stand out. Very well done my friend!

Howard, since you're going to send Anna-Lu your "tripod secrets", send me them too :).

Someone told some time ago we usually don't see birds looking to the camera, which is a rather funny pose - and that's great.

I like... pose, bg and pov. The guy really seems to be paying attention to you.

Excellent job.
