Indoor lightning has its limitations and its advantages, however I preffered to get the yellow hue and not use the flash to overexpose it, details came out good that way, at least.
Ara macao, the scarlett macaw, remains one of the most monumental and splendid birds on the planet, despise its familiarity. Nevertheless in the wild populations are declining and desperate measures are made in Latin America to mantain this amazing creature more than solely as a pet status. |

Hi Radu
Well done on a great closeup. Nicely composed. Good colour and POV. Crisp, clear and sharp. Thanks.

Hi Radu. Nice portrait. Colours and detail are amazing. TFS.
Dean.
Regardless of the yellow hue Radu it's still a nice closeup portrait of this beautiful bird.
Your Nikon CP 8800 has different settings for White balance control: TTL Auto White Balance, Fine, Incandescent, Fluorescent, Cloudy, Speedlight, Custom Preset, and White balance bracketing. I would try these different settings especially experimenting with the white balance bracketing this can teach what settings are optimal for specific lighting situations.
You can practice with different lighting situation around your home using Fluorescent, Incandescent, and around the outside on different lighted days -Sunny, Light Overcast, Strong Overcast and Shaded areas. :)

Hi Radu!
Nice portrait! Sharply focused and well exposed. I like the tight croping and the warm colors.
Good work and TFS.
