Squirrel shot with f4 300L lens with Canon 1.4 extender- 420mm. Handheld, RAW, ISO 800, no noise removal. Taken from my open kitchen window. Cropped a little, minimal processing. RAW processing done in Adobe PS Elements 3.

Nice shot JJ! I love the way the squirrel provides the colour in an almost monochromatic scene, and the bashful pose you've captured. I'm also rather impressed by your new camera, it seems to have even lower noise than the 10D, and that's quite something! If I were to suggest anything I'd probably sharpen the "tree rat" a little more. Anyway, a nice capture :-D

Excellent sharpness on the animal with great detail in its coat.
