[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I always vow I will NOT post any more cute squirrel pictures, but there's something about these rodents with fluffy tails that makes them photgenic ... this fellow burrowed his way through the snow (about 8 inches/20cm deep - to get to the bridfeeder that he prowls around to get the seeds the birds drop. Tomorrow I will post my positively last squirrel picture to show him one more time (till the next time, I suppose!!).

This is very cute, Alan. Brrr !
I wonder if you could make it a tad brighter without going OE. Composition-wise, the subject seems too centered.
A good contrast in the snow. TFS. : )

Hi Alan, really nice one especially cause its a real nature shot. Please keep posting, really cute also. I was wondering if the nikkor 80-400 is the same as the nikon 80-400, probably a stupid question but I suddenly have some doubts. And I was wondering if you shoot a lot at the length of 400 or do you loose some sharpness.
Well thats all. Good evening,reina

Funny shot! The squirrel has snow on the face!
Bye Tom

Good shot! Reminds me of one of my favourites on TE :) I love the subject matter, squirrels are always cute - and snow covered ones are probably the cutest. Exposure is good, however in maintaining highlight detail you've compressed the shadows somewhat - nothing you can do in camera, but there are plenty of post processing options (see my Workshop for more details>). There's also a bit of vignetting which you can fix using LensCorrection in Photoshop if you wish. Anyway, a nice capture :-)
