Hi David,
A really nice shot and good capture. It looks a little hazy, so I posted a workshop. hope you like the result.
Regards,
Adrian
Hi David
Even though the foicus is off in this shot, I think this is great. I know how hard it is to try and capture Hawks. I have tried to photograph wild hawks for ages, with no success. I have managed Falcons and Hawks in a Raptor center which is a thrill, but to successfully capture one in the wild escapes me to date. Well done on this shot and I am giving you 2 points for the success you had, Thanks.

David:
A very nice shot, and very nearly outstanding. The subject, however, is the Red-shouldered Hawk Buteo lineatus, not the Cooper's Hawk. Compared to this species, the Cooper's Hawk has a longer tail, shorter wings, yellow/orange eyes and a grey crown to the head.
Regards, Nigel.
