| I found this guy basking in the sun when I went hiking with a group of friends in the Wichita Wildlife Refuge near Lawton, OK. This guy's colors were amazing against the earthy red tones of the granite rock. He "posed" for me for quite some time, so I was able to capture him in all his splendor. Hope you enjoy! |

A warm welcome to TN, Stacy. : )
You're not kidding. The colors of the lizard are indeed gorgeous.
You captured him with sharp details and good exposure.
I would love to see him in more detail. Do you have a close-up of him?
Great first post, and thanks for sharing. : )
Great capture, focus, light and comp are great.
Its a "mountain boomer" or Collared lizard and it is the Oklahoma State Reptile.
He's all decked out in breeding colors.
Good job! Tfs
really beautiful specimen with gradation bluish to red skin color, it could be one signal to comunicate to other agamides or even it's enemies. Nice capture and great notes
