[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Pelecanus erythrorhynchos, American White Pelican. This was taken at a small lake in central California usa. I was hoping to go out and take some more before they fly to Canada, but the weather has not been kind to photographers. I took this from my kayak.

Very beautiful shot Scott, welcome to Treknature too. I hope you enjoy yourself here, there are a lot of very talented photographers here that provide some very good advice, and sometimes just a friendly voice. I love the almost zigzag shape the birds have formed in their takeoff. Very nice lighting and focus. You should invest in a waterproof case for your precious camera! Welcome again, excellent work, I look forward to seeing more from your travels!

Excellent action shot Scott. Perfect timing. Good exposure and clarity. Good work. :-)

Excelent, Scott!!!

Hi Scott,
GREAT SHOT! A ladder of pelicans. It's nice to get a action shot of these big birds. Colour, exposure and composition are excellent.

P.S. Your Pelicans showed up in Canada yesterday. (May 16th) I saw about a dozen of them on the Bow River in Calgary :) Janice

Hi Scott,
Greatly captured: four pelican with four different movements. I can learn how this bird take off from this picture...
Superb shot.
