Swallowtail butterflies

There are 26 genera and about 550 species
The swallowtail butterflies form the family Papilionidae. These are large, colorful butterflies, and though the majority are tropical members, this family is found on all continents except Antarctica. The family includes the largest butterflies in the world.
Swallowtails differ from all other butterflies in a number of anatomical traits. Most notably, their caterpillars possess a unique organ behind their heads, called the osmeterium. Normally hidden, this forked structure can be averted when the caterpillar is threatened, and used to emit a foul-smelling secretion containing terpenes. Never the less, these butterflies are the most colorful and larger butterflies in the world.

the colours are great and whether or not it is yet another swallowtail butterfly, it is still a nice one and worth posting.
