Another one of my Seagulls!!!!

This is still a repetition of the introduction to another eleven of my seagull pictures, but the field that covers these beautiful birds is so big and complicated that I have enough problems taken the pictures to get involved in it.

I really enjoy seen Seagulls flying. They are one of the most elegant and agile birds in the sky. Their family is one of the most extended in the animal kingdom and they can be found in all regions of the world. I especially like the ones near the coast and particularly the ones in the cost that surrender big cities.

This particular one was taken on a park facing the panorama of the vegetation and the buildings
around the lake that I like to go and this picture like the rest of the pictures that I have posted in TN, have only minor manipulations such as increasing the light, sharpening, coloration, cropping, noise cleaning and they have not been manipulate to the point that become a composition.
I like to be honest with myself and I think that I’m a good photographer like so many of the people in this site and like them, don’t need to resort to tricks or wires to mount a picture because I go by the rules of the site and nothing else.

Thank you all.

HOPE YOU LIKE IT!!!!!!

Hi Jorge,
This is another great inflight. Very well composed, and an excellent POV. Very good sharpness, detail and the BG contrasts nicely.
Difficult light, but you handled it well IMO.
Very well done!

Hi Jorge,
A nice shot and he seems to be looking straight at you! Nice timing to capture the wings forward but face still in view. We had one of these in the UK recently, it attracted a lot of attention as it had obviously crossed the Atlantic!
Best regards,
Adrian

Hi Jorge
I appreciate your stand against outright modifications to photos. TN rules allow us to do some enhancements, but this is where it should end. I don't mind if a workshop uses a little more freedom, as that is primarily for the learning’s we can gain from it.
To quote what Scott Evers said to me earlier, "Most shots from a digital camera need some correction in one form or another. They may look decent, but PP usually OPTIMIZES what is already there". With other words, it should not put something into the photo that was not there originally, or it should not remove something that was originally there. It is amazing how some do that and then come and tell you that you should have ‘taken’ a photo differently so as not have this or that in a photo. Anyway, it is just my humble opinion.
Having said that I can now pull out my guns and tell you that the slight OE on the gulls head was probably caused by the street lamp just behind it (chuckle).
Nice capture Jorge - good composition, lovely action, and nice DOF.
Well done my friend and TFS.
Regards
Loot

PS. I realise that I am probably on thin ice saying this, but if a photo of domestic or cultivated subjects gets deleted for contravention of TN rules, then strictly speaking the same should apply to manipulated/modified photos because that is also contravening the rules.

Good in-flight picture Jorge, good eye contact, sharp and clear. I would have cloned out the lamp post. Thanks.

Mario

What a graceful bird. You just caught it at the right moment. Congratulations.

Hi JC
I LIKE it, The picture is very well executed and the position of the bird and its wings is excellent!!
Regarding PP , i was just replying to Loots picture. PP does optimize your picture but to what extent? i think it is very less. 95% of the picture parameters have to be taken into consideration while shooting , your PP can improve only those pictures which are shot well :-). and i think there is nothing wrong in PP and it is equivalent to chemical processing in the lab with more dimensions!!!
In this picture the "Raw material" itself is very good and i like it.

Hola Jorge,
Muy buena foto de esta linda gaviota, me gustó mucho la pose del vuelo pero sobre todo su mirada, parece estar mirandote.
El fondo es bueno también, lo unico que veo son esos puntitos blancos abajo que se pueden borrar facilmente.
Saludos
Hernán
