Hi Howard,
Beautiful shot with a clear blue sky background.Was it not possible to increase the shutter speed to get the flapping wing also in focus.I know it can be an after thought.The picture is great with good colours and POV.

Very nice Howard, This hummingbirds are very beautyfull. The details of the feathers are perfect and the coulors are quite realistic. You done it very well.

Great photo Howard. You got some nice lighting on the underside of the hummer. The red/gold iridescent colours on the neck are very nice. Very clear and sharp image.

Beautiful shot!!! Did you clean up the noise as well? The pic looks pretty clear and at ISO 400, usually, you can see some noise.

Good shot! You've done an excellent job to capture this hummingbird mid-hum :) Focus and DOF are spot on, and the amount of detail in the tail feathers is impressive. It's a shame that the wings aren't completely frozen - but with ISO400 and a flash already in use there's not much room to manoeuvre... Perhaps an even more powerful flash might be useful - I look forward to future posts of roast hummingbird ;) Very nicely captured!
