Hi Ryan
This is the second time I've gone into your portfolio and it is the second time that I am totally astounded because of the colours (and especially the greens) in your photos. This one is no exception and you managed to capture this moment wonderfully.
It is a great composition and the POV is very good. The DOF is spot-on and the exposure is perfect.
This is top notch stuff and you deserve every smiley that comes your way. TFS.

Beautiful shot, Ryan. What a great moment you have captured.
Sharp details and great composition. I love the water falling off the calf.
The little fella is obviously struggling to keep up.
I noticed something strange around the eye of the calf.
It looks like he has two eyes on that side of the face. ???
But then my eyes have gotten really bad.

Hi Ryan, I see this image was taken some years ago and was obviously a favourite of yours. I like the composition as it presents just enough of the environment to give the elk scene good context. Often with nature images we tend to over crop to give impact. The colours have come thoruhg well and the scan has not lost much of the sharpness. Well done, Rob / Nixpix

I agree with Loot's assessment of the quality of the greens in this shot - vibrant and well set off against the tan of the elk and blue of the water. I also don't see the noise that often crops up in scanned shots. POV and action in this shot are first rate. TFS.

Hello Ryan! Another excelent shot from your gallery! Beautiful colours! Nice timing! I like the frame also. I´ve been in Yosemite two times and I love it. Yellowstone is still a dream and one day I´ll be there. I like to see your photos from this wonderful place!
