| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
I have spent many hours with this nest site through the years. The site if you are travelling West to Portland is just East of the Multnomah Falls Exit. Since a couple of years ago one of the Ospreys did not return back to the nest and its partner sat there for weeks in waiting it seemed before it flew off and never has returned. Ospreys normally only have one mate during their lifetime, and it was a sad day when I found that they would not be together in front of my lens any longer.
The cliffs and trees are located in Washington State and are about a mile away from where I knelt to take the photo. |
