The blue sky reflecting off the wet mud is great. I like how it really brings out the red eye and colorful legs. Composition is great. I like the smaller aperture of f/9 it lets us see everything around the bird more clearly, giving us a sense of the environment around it. Beautiful photograph.

This bird is very similar with the himantpus himantopus that we can see in Italy.
The shot is great. Very good details, colours and framing.

Excellent shot! The all around exposure on this is fantastic. I also like the fact that the breaking reflection is'nt strong where it looks like an abrupt cutoff at the edge of the image. Very nice Cecilia. :)
