[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This photo was also taken at Barker Dam in Joshua Tree Nat'l Park like the first one, but this was taken more to the right. I believe I took like 30 shots of this area, which seemed so surreal with the way the clouds and the sky was at the time.
I've also heard that actually having as much water as there was in this place was quite rare.

Power shot Tim. Very dramatic and you have done well with mixed light and good DOF. Cheers, Rob

Tim

Not quite as good as the 1st one, but i still like it - though I think it could be brighter.

I think it falls down on the cluttered foreground.

In an ideal world you woudl have a landscape version of the first one and that coudl be absolutely stunning...

Emma

Great shot. Excelent clouds ! . Good thing you had the polarizer.. It made all the difference.

Fantastic capture! Excellent composition, great colours, good light and amazing details.
Thanks for sharing!

Hi Tim
I agree with you about the surreal aspects of the image. Great diagonals since clouds align with skyline. The lower left is a bit dark, but that adds to the overall high contrast of the shot. Reflections are also a nice touch. One can believe in the mystery of such places.

Hi Tim,
I agree with Emma on this one. But still a good photo. You might want to brighten it up a little and see what needs to be done on contrast.

Hi Tim,

I agree with you : this place looks unreal. Places like these are precious and it is great to see that they are still exisisting. Very beautiful POV and exposing, TFS,
