RWBB Abstract

| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
After dozens of shots of Red-winged Blackbirds, I find that my favorite aspect to photograph is the explosive, enigmatic color on the males' wings. Of course, don't we all? In that regard, I wanted to try something a little different.
The extremely loose focus here forces the colors to do all the work. There is just enough detail for the brain to extrapolate the bird's form, and the red patches shine forth in all of their raging, mysterious splendor. None of the sharp-focus shots seemed to draw so much attention to the colors. |

YES! I like this kind of shot! I had one in my gallery! It seems a post-modern paint.
Superb composition and technique used.
Really not easy.
Well done.
