Yet another photo from Joshua Tree Nat'l Park. We were just leaving the Hidden Valley trail system when I spotted this family making their way up this little summit.
They were silhouetted nicely against the late afternoon sky so I took a few shots. If it weren't for the family silhouetted against the sky here, this would be a pretty plain shot, but I like the story it tells with the family in it. |

Hi Tim
Excellent photo and yes, the family makes this shot very intersting and also gives a great reference in scale. I am amazed about the details still visible in the summit. Great blue sky and a noce soft touch to the image.
TFS,

:-) Later (sorry)
Hi Tim,
I think you are right..it tells a story. Though small, the family is well seen in silouhette against the beautiful evening sky. Their different postures are well seen as they make their way to the top..
I used to live only 10 miles from the monument in the 90's. I wasn't a camera nut then though ;)
I like it! Well done & TFS!
Hi Tim,
You do come up with some interesting photos! Those little people just grab your eye. I was curious about the rock formation itself so enhanced the photo a little. I was so surprised to see how very interesting it is so posted it on the workshop page.
