[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This Tufted Titmouse was anxiously waiting for me to stop taking her photo and hold out my hand with seed. She couldn't get enough food...little piggy!

The Tufted Titmouse is the largest of the Titmice family and is larger and stockier than a "Dee". They are usually found in broad leaf trees like oaks. They have a plain head, short crest,and a relatively short broad tail. They always seem to surprise me with the many songs they can produce. I will hear one and think to myself..."ouuu what bird is that and where is it?" and it turns out to be a Tufted Titmouse.

These little guys are a nice sight in the bleak winter landscape as they can get quite blue coloring and the rust color under their wings really make these birds standout. I was so pleased to have these birds eating out of my hand along with the Dees.

I am pleased to see this "little piggy" since we don't see them often up north. Black-capped chickadee are more common for me. This shot is almost perfect. Good composition, very sharp in the upper part. Great picture.

It takes a lot of time and endurance to get these little ones to trust you enough to eat out of your hand and it is worth it!

Quite a good effort considering the relatively bright background. The sharpness is good and there is enough DoF. I may have been tempted crop othe right hand background colour or clone it out - a triffle distracting. Apart from that its prety good.
