[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
One of the mornings last week I went to a friend's house, where some birds made their nest in a flower pot hanging in the porch and had their young in the nest. Before I made it there I stopped at "my" reservoir to see what's going on and shot some pictures of this lonely swan residing at the dam. Good thing I did, because to see the little chicks in my friends house you needed a ladder, so I had to come back with nothing. Original image cropped a tad under 10% to improve composition. Shot on a monopod with the IS on at aperture priority with exposure compensation set at -1 to prevent from loosing feather detail.

Mark you have caught some wonderful detail in that wing, and as you say it is not overexposed. It just goes to show how mucky they can get.

great composition, though I might have been tempted to level off the ledge...
