[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is the West Thumb Geyser Basin in Yellowstone. It's not as well known as the Old Faithful area, largely because there are fewer regular geysers, but it is an attractive area for observing geothermal features and activity. You can see the steam rising up from several of those behind the trees. West Thumb abusts Lake Yellowstone and you can see it and the mountains on the other side in the distance.

Beautiful, as the dark silhouet of the trees stand in the steam: good details and the background with the mountains is nice too:

Hi Mike, this is a lovely shot with great atmosphere. It makes me want to travel there and see it for myself. I love the way you can see the trees, then mist, more trees and then the ocean and mountains. It's very well exposed with great colours and composition. Very well done :)

Très jolie photo. Les vapeurs des geysers font bien ressortir les silhouettes des grands arbres.
L'arrière plan nous informe sur l'immensité de l'espace. Ambiance impressionnante renforcée par les arbres morts au 1er plan.
J'aime bien le cadre mais sur cette photo, je trouve qu'il étouffe un peu ce paysage. C'est mon seul regret et c'est un goût tout à fait personnel ;-)

excelletn shot Mike, the mist amongst the trees and foreground is great revealing jsut enough of the mountains and lake to keep your interest.
