Dusky Pigmy Rattlesnake
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
I found this little guy relaxing on the side of a nature trail at the University of North Florida.
The dusky is a pit viper, is found through most terrains of the southeast of the United States. They reach from 1-2 ft in length. They are grey with random darker spots and a red-orange marking on the back of their head than runs darker down their spine. Bites aren't deadly, though they can cause nerve and tissue damage in the area of the bite. The rattle is no louder than an insects wings, so the warning goes unheard by most creatures. |

Hi Angyl,
On the sizes of the leaves I expect it to be a small one indeed,I as not a fan of snakes would approach this kind of animals with the telelens instead of the macr lens,
well seen and captured,
Paul
