Great performance to shoot this so sharp and well exposed. I like the isolated subject in the air on that kind of BG. Light has a nice effect by transparency on the wings. Now that he/she knows you, he/she might want to become a star on the next shots :-). I really like it, Lesley.

Well done on the capture of the the flying Owl. Pictures not often seen. I liked your story behind this shot. :)

Wauw Lesley what a capture you made here,
Fantastic, I saw owls during the flight but even a had look it was away. So you must be realy sharp and fast on that moment, very good note, great job

Nice capture lesley a typical veiw of this bird as most people would get to see it.the bird is well seen and sharp even with this amount of BG which give a good idea of the large open spaces that they like so much.

Ah! This is SO nice, Lesley. We have march owls that look a lot like this and sometimes when going to Marievale, I am lucky enough to see them flying, but never could get a lens on any, so I know how difficult this is and 10/10 for getting him on the wing, and that with good texture and details!
As a small suggestion I would crop off the top part of the shy where the mottled whites show, I think it will change the perspective in the frame ever so slightly to a stronger compo, but that's just my gut feel.

Leslie, I know how difficult it is to capture a raptor in flight and you succeeded very well. Your shot is just great. Clear enough to see the face, the eyes, and the details in the feathers. And you gave him enough room to fly in front of him. Congratulations! Very, very good.

Now I'm jealous. An owl in flight is high on my wishlist! This is a stunning shot that you captured very well. I like the composition a lot.
Very well done and thanks for posting

Beautiful capture with very good details on the bird, I like how you can almost see "the path" he's taking. One idea might be to clone out the building in the bg, as it's recognizable as such despite being entirely oof - it's too regular to be anything else ;-)

No WOW factor? :) ... sure.
Brilliant shot, Lesley. I still have an owl on my wishlist (on a branch would do). The backlight adds a nice touch and the eye contact is superb. Such a nice shot. Well done.
