As Pablo said, it's difficult to comment this masterpiece. To say just a few words, bird is absolutely motionless, details and pov are perfect, composition is outstanding and the blured background has a lovely range color from soft green to blue!

I'm still waiting for my first hummingbird and if I do half as good as you capturing it I will be happy.

I wished we also had some of these interesting birds here, but too cold for them here.
I only saw one with my own eyes one time in my live when I were in Colorado. It was so amazing to see them drinking at the flowers and standing in the air. Thanks for this perfect shot, bye

Mega shot Howard, you did well to keep the bird in frame and its body is super sharp with excellent details, yes this one is special mf. I see you have your new camera now and with that 100,000 shutter cycle there is no stopping you. I would imagine for a shot like this you would use continuous mode. Very fine work.

It's probably difficult to choose the proper speed for that. 1/250 was just perfect: the whole bird is so sharp, and the motion blur of the wings so beautiful.
A masterpiece.
