It was not clear whether to put this in the Animal or Plants genre, and whether this fit in the Flowers or Bushveld categories, but I settled on Plants/Rain Forest as I believe these many textures of leafy green really make me think of the thick undergrowth of a Rain Forest.
Though Hilton Head is technically not a Rain Forest region, it certainly is sub-tropical, if not tropical and so here we are, staring a this orange butterfly, wondering what something so almost artificial looking in colour could possibly be doing here.... Ah, yes, possibly pollenating all the various plants?
I think the recent rains that had preceded our hike in the nature preserve on Pinkney Island really allowed nature to "show its stuff" with this multitude of textures in such a small area.
No cropping, no adjustments, just unfiltered nature at work here... |
