Tech notes: RAW, ISO 800, 2x extender, handheld, 20mph wind, cropped.
I was trying to sneak out onto my deck to take a shot of a huge Rooster Ring Neck Pheasant- not to be, he eluded me. But I noticed these birds (2) hunkered down in the snow. I have a frontal shot of the other one, this one turned out fairly sharp considering I was manually focusing and shaking- cold.
I always thought these birds migrated south but I guess I was wrong. This is the first time I've noticed them in the winter- 0 F tomorrow night. Now I'll have to feed for sure- and stalk the pheasant.
This shooting birds is getting time consuming, to say the least. That's fine with me. |
