[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
My Husband is a ship captain. He travels all over the Great Lakes and the Saint Lawrence Seaway. I get the oppertunity to go "sailing" with him a few times a year. I must say the sunrise and sunsets are so much more spectacular when there is no land to interfere with! I hope you'll like this photo. Honestly I'm not sure where on the Lake I took it but know it was on Lake Superior. And while you look a this... imagine the gentle breeze blowing, the sound of a ship engine thumping, and the slight sound of the water as it moves from the ship. It truly is very peaceful.

Hi Donna,
This is a wonderful sunset with beautiful colors in the sky and lake. But, the horizon needs to be straight and I would put the horizon closer to the 1/3 line. Beside that a very serene view.

Well composed with the sun perfect placed. Only nit is that the horizon tilts to left.

Hi Donna,

Beautiful view and colors.
Because of the colors on the water and no clouds in the sky, for a basic rule of thirds which can be broken and I always do, anyhow, 2/3 water and 1/3 sky.
If you would like to see this rule broken which gives a dramatic scene, go to Trek Lens and enter Fisher, you'll see a golden sunset with a lighthouse silhoutted.

Donna, what a site. Lovely I had a look at your collections. All of them are excellent and your caption capabilities are brilliant.
