I found This deagonfly cleaning himself on a reed next to a pond.Did not know i got this picture of him cleaning untill i loaded it up :) i thought it was just all overhead shots. Any Clue To what DragonFly This Might Be????? :)

very nice one Erika.
the one is the Aeshna mixta. I put also a photo today of this specie. Yours is very nice, with the good details and the fine composition and the good point of view, very nice job.

a wonderful dragon - I'm waiting to see such a one sometime with my own eyes. I only saw them flying, never sitting down, so sad ;-(

Very harmonious colours, Erica. Nature around and the Aeshna mixta have identical coloration.
