Grus canadensis

This was photographed at Bosque del Apache NWR, which probably the best place to photo crane and snow geese. Its one of those great days where the lighting was great, the wind is blow to the right direction and the birds are plenty. All I need to do is keep trying and "even blind squirell can get nuts once in a while".

Hi,

This is very good shot! Congartulations!

Hi Ricardo, good capture , I like especially the movement in the wing tips as it applies flaps down final approach.
Even I have heard of Bosque and seen some amazing images from there.
Where you in one of the raised tower or out in the open?
you are missing for lens off the details along with any thing you did to prepare it for showing here.
Still a pretty good image though.

Great action shot. The movement in the wing tips is great.Well done.

Excellent shot of an awesome bird. I just finished reading Peter Matthiessen's The Birds of Heaven, which is all about cranes and the people who devote their lives to studying them. Great book. I do love how the wings were captured here. Thanks for sharing.

Good capture. Overall sharpness and dof is good while the blurred wingtips impart that sense of motion that makes for a great action shot. Good job!

Good capture
Well done.
