Aren't the vistas amazing in Glacier Park? I have been waiting for this part of your trip. I thought you must have taken this with your 10-20mm but I guess not. This image could be used for a travel brochure! It is quite beautiful with all the lines of clouds and land leading to the snow capped peak. I think I warned you about the Going to the Sun road in summer. We took the shuttle bus as camper RV's aren't allowed on the narrow road. There were about 10,000 bicycles and as many or more people up there. We turned around and took the next bus back down. It's funny it is so crowded there but if you walk a hundred meters off on a trail it can be so beautiful and peaceful. I have decided to drag your images onto my desktop to view them. It makes a subtle but significant difference in quality??! The shapness, DOF and values are just perfect.

Yes, of course SunToucher should go to the Going-to-the-Sun Road, it's such a natural! This is great vista, Niek, and it is well captured. Those mountains are stupendous. Great job with the color and contrast here, it's just perfect for me. The bottom feels a bit incomplete to me, but I'm not sure if there was something you wanted to eliminate (like a road) or you just didn't want the horizon in the middle. I'm looking forward to more of Glacier (I'm headed there next week for a couple of days).

Hi Niek,
A beautiful scene, I think I should try and see Montana while I'm here. An excellent composition helped by that amazing sky, beautiful clouds. My eye is led left to right and on through the mountains to the distant peaks. Great detail and beautiful colours, perfect exposure. A fantastic shot.

You are killing me with these great and beautiful landscapes. I want to back out west so bad...I was planning a trip this fall, but will have to put it off till 2007 I guess. I'll just look at your shots and dream some more. I drove the Going To The Sun Road a very long time ago. It still in my mind has been the most beautiful road.

That is a beautiful vista, Niek.
I love the way the lines of the mountains, as well as the lines of the clouds, converge on the snowcapped peak. Fantastic composition, great colors, sharp details.

Wat een prachtige plaat Niek! De lucht is echt heel bijzonder en de kleur van het water is heel mooi. Dit doet me erg denken aan Moraine Lake in Canada. Goed gedaan en TFS!

Just popped into work to change the backup tapes in the server and whilst I was waiting I thought I would come and see what else you have posted and what a wonderful post. Glad I saw it, its a real beauty.

The sky really makes the picture for me, with the clouds so white and almost pointing to the focal point of the picture.

Verry nice composition. You have a foreground with trees, mountains on each side of the lake a beaytifull sky. So POV, DOF, lighting and coulours are well balanced. Good job.

Bonjour Niek,
Je découvre avec ravissement ta superbe et très diversifiée galerie à l'occasion de ta visite sur la mienne.
C'est un magnifique paysage admirablement restitué par un très belle composition bien colorée et très détaillée. L'angle de prise de vue donne une belle perspective sur les montagnes de gauche et permet au regard de pénétrer profondément dans l'image.
