[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The person that took the shot has no idea. I spent quite some time searching through my trusty Sibley guide and couldn't figure out what kind of bird it was. I saw this guy on my way to work, pulled over with my camera in the open window and shot several frames. I'm finally coming to uderstand that the car is the best blind and it's not worth it to try to get out, because most birds are less likely to get scared as long as you stay inside. The original image was cropped some 20% in order to move the subject off center. I hope someone helps me to ID this bird.

Hi Mark,

This looks a bit like a tropical mockingbird but I'm not completely sure.
Its a great capture and I like the pose of this bird.

I agree with Zeno , it looks like a mockingbird.Very nice detail and sharpness.Excellent POV and DOF.Good detail in the eye too.Well saturated colours.I agree with you, wildlife seems to tolerate traffic, but when we emerge from our vehicles that is a different story. TFS
