Very pretty.. especially the mountains in the background are good sharp where most of the times in this pictures they are a little blurry. Think this is because you should in RAW here.

Hi Niek, nice view. I like the way the trees bend into the frame from both sides and cast shadows on the water. Excellent backdrop with the mountains, well exposed colours, good lighting and very good details. Great work TFS.

I agree, the trees make a nice natural frame. Something quite LOTR about this shot. Beautiful detail and colours, quite a range of colours across the water. As always great exposure and perfect detail, it looks like a beautiful place to spend some time.

This is beautiful Niek! I think I know right where you were standing. After you cross the bridge ( going to the right in this image) does the trail fork off to the left and go up to meet the Grinnell Glacier Trail?
I'm trying to remember if I took a shot from the same vantage point. I don't think so...and am wondering why not! It is a very nicely composed and exposed image with good DOF and color saturation. I want to go back there!

I just looked at my originals from my Glacier trip. I did take 4-5 shots just a little to the right of yours and each one is worse than the last...just awful...over exposed and underexposed and trees cut off...you'd have a field day critiquing them! I've learned so much!!!

Hi Niek!
My first thought upon seeing this image was: "Gee, this must have been taken with a really wide lens, look at the trees on the sides". Turns out it doesn't have too much to do with extreme optics. I like the composition with the two tallest trees framing the mountains in the background and well saturated colors. Congratulations,
