Here's a closer shot of the 3 moose in Fishercap Lake. It's not the best shot I have of moose, but the best I have with all 3. (How often do I get to have 3 moose in a shot?). What is most informative about the shot is the eating habits of moose -- they like to consume underwater plants and here are dining on some from the bottom of the shallow part of the lake.

PP: A slight crop, noise filter, resize, and frame.

P.S. A closer shot of two moose can be seen here.

Very good composition. I like the water as a background. Probably a little bit dark. I would try to make this shot lighter with levels in PS. Thank for sharing.

Hey! this is a great shot of three moose altogether in the water.....it reminds me of how the Grizzlies feed for salmon in the BC rivers :))
The water looks so clear and cold!

Hello Mike
The details are nice, clear and sharp.
The exposure looks tricky on this shot, the moose are a bit UE. POV is good.
Well composed.
Thanks for posting, have a great week.

Hi Mike,
I would think the same. Exposure might not be perfect, but you got three moose in one shot! I like the different poses, especially the one the puts its head completely under water.
TFS,
Niek

You are right...getting three in one shot is pretty special.

I'm sitting here with my Glacier Map and the trail map for the Many Glacier area and I can't find Fishercap Lake. I thought I had hiked all the trails from the end of the Many Glacier Road. Where is it?

Also I read something in the Teton Park info that I find hard to believe. Tell me what you think. It says, "Moose often feed in willow flats but can browse underwater for aquatic plants and dive for them in water more that 18 feet deep, staying under for nearly a minute." Now I've seen moose most of my life. I lived in Alaska surrounded by the critters...and I have NEVER heard of such a thing...much less seen it! Have you? 18 FEET DEEP!

Hi Mike,

A good POV of the mooses in the water, the photo has a good composition, sharpness and nice colors. Thanks for sharing.

Pierre
