Here's a moose in Fishercap Lake, Glacier National Park. I think this is the mother cow who was taking her two youngsters to graze in the lake. If you need some orientation, a wider shot is here, and a closer shot of the two moose, especially this one looking more menacing, is shown here.

Mike,

Great capture. They always seemed a bit odd looking to me, but it works for them. I had a few close encounters with them in AK. I got charged once trying to photograph a mother with her two calves.

Difficult lighting here, you are on the wrong side of the sun. When shooting wild things we have no choice sometimes. You exposed this well none the less.
Do you still use your A1? My light meter went out, so I bought a Digital.
